RiverRun Rafting Itinerary – High Adventure
Arrival & Evenings
Arrive to our base resort the night prior to your rafting day. Check-in and register then proceed to our campground to set up camp or one of our accommodations that you reserved when booking. Your will be given a map of the property and be required to sign a waiver of liability.
Enjoy the evening campfire or enjoy an evening swim in our private bay. Volleyball and half-court basket ball are lit up for nightly games. We do have a licensed bar and store for your needs.
Wetsuits & Registration opens 7.30 – 8am by the waterfront pavilion if you have any questions or wish to rent a wetsuit if weather conditions are less than perfect. Wetsuits should be rented before your safety briefing and we require a piece of photo ID to hold until wetsuits are returned after your trip.
A liability waiver will be required for you to sign if you did not sign one the night prior.
: Meet up with your trip leader for a full safety briefing and what you can expect during your trip. Then you will be instructed to get your equipment for your trip.
We provide lifejackets, helmets and paddles. Please be sure to see our “what to wear & bring” section of our website.
After boarding our buses and a short ride to our put-in property you will meet your guide for the day. Our guides are whitewater professionals that are highly skilled and trained for your safety. Our entertaining guides are hired, not only for their skills at whitewater but also to introduce you to the history of the Ottawa River.
As you board your raft you can already hear the thunder of the first set of rapids of McCoys Chute and the adrenaline starts to pump!
The Ottawa River water levels are controlled up-stream by a hydro electric dam so as the water levels change so do some of the other activities offered along the way. Try some body surfing in gentle whitewater or some cliff jumping…its optional and all part of the experience.
Your rafting day ends back at our resort property, where your car is, hot showers, sauna and dry clothes. The RiverRun advantage is that there are no bus rides or long pontoon rides after the last set of major rapids….our location is simply the best.
Evening: Free time to enjoy our resort property. Bring your hiking shoes for some fantastic woodland walking trails and scenic lookout….your likely to come across some creature of two along the way. Share your adventure stories with other guests at our main campfire; enjoy a sauna or a moonlight swim. Some quiet time after a busy day!
This is your free day. This is your time to really enjoy the beautiful property of our resort.
Take a swim or hike our trails at your leisure, be sure to visit the Ross Museum minutes away in Forester Falls and learn about the history of our area and the Ottawa Valley. Admission is free.
Check-out time is 10am for accommodations but feel free to stick around until 4pm. Ask at our office about our accommodation specials and there’s so much to see and do just at our doorstep!
