RiverRun Wilderness Resort is located 1 hour from Ottawa and 5 hours east of Toronto in the Ottawa Valley. The “Valley” as it’s called by the locals stretches from Ottawa, our Canadian capital city, westward to Ontario’s world-renowned Algonquin Park. More than half the valley (over 6 million acres) is spectacular wilderness and the setting for your visit to RiverRun on the Ottawa River.

Hiking enthusiasts can explore the rugged beauty of our resort property on our groomed trails system and includes EXCLUSIVE ACCESS FOR OUR GUESTS TO THE OTTAWA RIVER PROVINCIAL PARK. This 125 acre park adjoins the RiverRun Resort with hiking trails throughout old growth forests and spectacular views of the Ottawa River.

This unique riverside resort began as a fledgling rafting outfitter in 1980, and now in 2010 we will celebrate our 30th year providing safe and exciting rafting trips and outdoor vacations. The Ottawa River has become known for its beauty, world-class whitewater and its colourful history. In June of 2010 in recognition of this history, the Ottawa River will be given the prestigious designation as a “Canadian Heritage River”.
